Description:  Gary Snyder and Mahlila Mandalagrophy at the Fillmore, San Francisco March 15th 1967. The Japanese Zen Center was started in San Francisco in 1962. In 1967, the Society built the first Zen monastery in the West near Monterey, and proceeds from this concert benefited the Society. "Mountains and rivers without end" refers to Tessajara, the monastery's site in Los Padres National Forest.
